Roblesabana Coffee: Specialty Coffee from Costa Rica

Grown in the ideal climates of Costa Rica, our specialty coffees undergo a meticulous processing and go beyond the realm of gourmet coffee. Boasting a cupping score of over 83 points as per the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCA), these coffees are renowned for their complex and full-bodied flavor profiles.

Our high-quality specialty coffees are 100% sourced from Costa Rica through direct trade, where we personally select the beans right at the farm. The direct trade model aims to connect producers with consumers, streamlining the coffee supply chain and ensuring fair compensation for the farmers while reducing costs for the end consumer.

Roblesabana is a women-owned business, founded and operated by two sisters with over a decade of experience in the coffee industry. Inspired by the remarkable work and determination of women in the coffee sector, we actively promote direct trade, knowledge exchange, and gender equality. Our coffees are produced by women on specialty coffee farms across Costa Rica.

Committed to sustainable practices, our coffees are grown in micro-lots located in regions like Poás, Tarrazú, Naranjo, and Sabanilla de Alajuela. These farms are part of the NAMA CAFE Project, a national initiative to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to global climate action. Our sustainable and socially responsible farming practices are certified, with one of our farms being organically certified.

To ensure the optimal expression of each coffee's unique characteristics, we meticulously roast our beans in small batches at the origin. Our master roaster and Q-grader carefully select the roast profile for each coffee, taking into account factors like origin, altitude, climate, and processing method. This meticulous approach enhances the inherent qualities of our coffees, unlocking their exquisite flavors and aromas.

Our specialty coffee offerings include the SPECIAL RESERVE from the Rainforest Alliance-certified La Hilda Farm, located at the foothills of the Poás volcano. This medium to dark roast coffee boasts a brown sugar fragrance, soft acidity, and a dark chocolate aftertaste.
